The Best Snacks To Keep At Your Desk

New year, new body on the mind. Part of having the confidence to ask for that raise and to wow at career-making meetings, is exercise. Whether it’s cardio barre, yoga and pilates, or burn and tone, it’s all about getting your endorphins flowing. However good nutrition is vital.

It’s easy to stress-eat late at night at work or feel like you’re being deprived. Here are 24 Seven Talent’s staff picks for what our team thinks is the tastiest, filling foods and snacks.

Justin’s Nut Butter Packets: A favorite of nutritionists. They’re easy to take to work and made from whole natural ingredients. Spread this protein-fueled goodness on fruit like pears and apples.

Almonds. Nuts are high in good fats and fill you up. If you’re hungry in between meals or can’t get away from your desk, a palm full or about ten almonds will do!

Low-fat Greek yogurt with blueberries is an excellent way to start your day. Blueberries are filled with antioxidants. Between them and the almonds, you’re getting major brain food to power through your workday.

If you’re feeling like you’re missing what we call the ‘carbie carbs” (potatoes, pasta, bagels), go with this sweet potato recipe. You can prep the evening before work and it’s great served cold.

How-to Make Your Home Office

Most people don’t have the luxury of working from home. In fact, a lot of candidates and clients we’ve spoken to enjoy the buzz and interaction of office life. They feel they’d be isolated if they worked remotely. However, we also have a lot of creative talent who work on side projects from home and say that setting up a space where they can create at home is important. If you’re planning to spruce up your at-home workday, we’ve chosen our favorite looks to inspire you.

Simply sophisticated. Great for small spaces. And the addition of a low-hanging lamp and a shag rug gives it a ‘homey’ feel you won’t get from your 9-5.
